The Orient CEX05003D

Generally speaking, Orient watches are some of the best watches you can find for the money on the market today. The Orient Power Reserve Watch, model number CEX05003D, is the second Orient watch that I have reviewed. And like the first, I am impressed with what it offers given the price. However, there were a few things I found myself wishing it had, which may be the result of personal preference more than anything.

Some of the product reviews Ive read on the CEX05003D labeled it as cool and mysterious. I dont know if Id go so far as to call it mysterious (I tend to find people mysterious who call watches mysterious), but it is very cool and appealing. The dial of the Orient is midnight blue (navy blue, really) with the periphery, beneath the hour markers, having a patterned design. Its a bit difficult to see this without having a light to shine on it just so, but I appreciate the intricate work that embellishes the dials cool appeal. The dial also has a power reserve indicator (more on this later) and date display, which can be easily adjusted with the push button just above the push-pull crown.

The case and bracelet are both stainless steel, ideal for durability and ensuring theyll never become rusted.

The clasp of the watch is a great feature as well. The clasps on watches Ive previously owned havent held together well because of their insufficient locking mechanism (i.e. friction locked fold-over clasp design). The clasp on the Orient CEX05003D has a fold over clasp as well, but with push buttons, making for a sturdier, more long lasting clasp.

In true Orient style, the inner workings of the watch are made with top quality material. Should there be any defects, however, I can always cash in on the manufacturers one year warranty.

Now for the bad news: the hands. I love the second hand feature as its sweeping style is virtually identical to that of the Rolex. However, its luminous hour and minute hands are less than brilliant.

Normally, this wouldnt be a problem; Im usually in an area where at least partial light enables me to see the time on my watch. But when I was driving along a rural New England street at night recently, in a car that is sans dome lights and without a working clock, the Orients luminous hands prevented me from seeing what time it was.

Instead of the push button for the date, I wish that was replaced by a button I could press to light up the dial. Again, this isnt really an indictment on Orient as it is a statement of my own personal preference when it comes to watches. However, I do think a watch ought to be able to harness light longer and more efficiently, especially when its pressed up against a light bulb for several seconds (So I guess it is an indictment).

The watch wears comfortably. I didnt find it to be too cumbersome nor did I find it to be too light, weighing in at approximately 4.8 ounces. I havent yet figured out whats too light or too heavy. When I find out Ill tell you.

Another nice feature is its water resistance, 100 meters. The style of the watch looks like one youd wear for special occasions only, but the fact that its water resistant gives the wearer the kind of usability that ought to come with all watches.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but this is an automatic watch, meaning it has to be worn regularly in order for the watch to keep time properly (the wearers arm movement winds the watch if worn regularly). One of my favorite features is the power reserve indicator, something you dont find on most automatics. Without this feature, automatic watch wearers are armed with nothing but speculation on how much power is left on their watch before placing it on their night table before bed. This feature rectifies that issue.

Lastly, automatic watches, generally speaking, dont keep as good time compared to quartz watches. They tend to either gain or lose anywhere from a few seconds to a minute per day. I didnt find that to be the case with the Orient. It did lag a bit, but again, this is to be expected from automatic watches. Getting an automatic watch that doesnt lag is oxymoronic, but Orients lag is significantly less than other automatics in comparable price ranges.

Orients known for offering low-priced watches without undermining the quality that goes into making it. The CEX05003D is no exception.

Writing an eBook is as Simple as Talking to a Friend

For a long time, I resisted writing ebooks. After all, why write a $27 ebook, when you can create a $447 multi-media home study course? Why risk losing the big sale when by offering an inexpensive ebook?

Let me give you several reasons and then I will show you an easy way to create an ebook that doesn't require writing at all! First, an ebook provides a low cost way for a prospective customer to get to know you. Many people would rather spend $27 to see if you are legit, before spending $447 and risk getting burned. An ebook gives them an opportunity to test the waters first. If they are comfortable, then they will be willing to risk more.

Second, an ebook allows you to reach a broader market. Let's be honest. You only have so many names on your email list and there are tons of people who want to become your customers...they just don't know it yet! Huge home study courses usually require complicated affiliate programs and thus, this reduces the number of people who will help you market your course.

Ebooks, on the other hand, are very portable and using a company like ClickBank allows thousands of people you have never met to promote your ebook for you. Think of your ebooks as little ambassadors, reaching people you can not physically send a message to.

Ebooks also lead to bigger products, such as your $447 home study course. If they liked your ebook, then they will love your home study course that has step-by-step videos instead of just screen shots in a pdf file. And they will certainly love your three day workshop where you go beyond the step-by-step videos and actually show them in real time how to do whatever it is your ebook is teaching.

So what is the bad news? Who wants to sit down and grind out an ebook? Not me! So, I talk my way through an ebook. I schedule a free teleseminar, invite interested people to the teleseminar, have them send questions in advance and then record the teleseminar. I then have the recording transcribed, lightly edit the transcription and convert the whole thing to a pdf file.

I then list it on ClickBank, send out a few emails and in rolls the money! ClickBank takes care of the affiliates, processing the order and sends me a check every month. It is really that easy!

So now I am killing two birds with one stone. I am assessing demand before I pour a ton of time and energy into a huge home study course. If the ebook doesn't sell well, I know the home study course won't sell well either. I am also generating a positive cash flow to help fund my home study course. And I am gathering customers from all around the globe through the hundreds of thousands of ClickBank affiliates who will want to promote my ebook. Make that three birds instead of two!

So, pick a topic and schedule a free teleseminar today. You will be creating a foundational product for your information empire and it is actually a lot of fun!

Traffic Exchanges Revisited - Part Two

In order to maximize exposure for your websites and reap the most benefit from the traffic exchanges, you need to join a few programs and be able to surf more than one exchange at once. My recommendation is to download a browser that will open in tabs. There are a few choices available but my favorite is a tabbed browser called AMBrowser. I prefer this browser mainly because of its efficiency in blocking the ever so annoying pop up in all its different manifestations.

What I do to make my surfing manageable is to group my exchanges in bunches of 4 or 5 and then assign days of the week to each group when I will do my surfing of these particular group of exchanges. Once on AMBrowser, which by the way, to the best of my knowledge and experience, will not put adware or spyware in your PC, look to the upper left hand side and click on "favorites." You will see "add to favorites" on top. Click on that and a small window will open where you will be able to name your folders and save them. It is very simple and straight forward. Create a folder and call it "Monday surfing" or something like that. Assign 4 or 5 traffic exchanges to the folder and save. Repeat in that manner for as many days as you wish to surf. The whole idea is to break down your surfing so that the same is not this monumental, boring-as-hell task involving 20 traffic exchanges where you will have to spend 25 hours a day in front of your PC or laptop. I usually surf for about an hour or so from Mondays through Thursdays.

I begin by opening up AMBrowser, going to favorites, clicking on my day folder and opening all 5 links. The exchanges open up in tabs. I click on a tab, view the website until the counter runs out or until I'm satisfied that I have seen enough. I then go to the next tab and repeat the process for about an hour.

One little trick that will make the surfing experience easier is the following: Once you sign up with the traffic exchange, you will be assigned a link called the "startpage." This is the page you will be surfing from and it is tagged with your user ID. You often get the link to this page on the confirmation email the exchange sends you when you first sign up. Anyway, sign on to your account, find your startpage link, click on it and save this to your favorites instead of the home page URL. By doing that, you will save yourself the trouble of having to log in to the traffic exchange the next time you are scheduled to surf as the browser will open up (in many cases) right on the surfing page and you will be able to pick up where you left off.

To conclude I will add that the best way to gain the most out of the traffic exchanges is to build (dare I say it?) a downline by advertising your assigned promotion link. Exchanges offer compensation several levels deep where you get a percentage of you referrals' traffic. So if you recruit a whole bunch of people under you and they in turn recruit more people and so on, that can translate into thousands of free "hits" to your websites a day. There are many people out there who get fifty, sixty-thousand hits a day and more to their websites without them having to lift a finger anymore because they took the time and had the patience to build their downline. I hope to be one of those people within a few months.

Using Digital Photographs in Scrapbooking Projects

Digital cameras are a wonderful invention. In the past, the quickest way to get a fast photo was by using an instant camera; but one always sacrificed quality when it came down to the print itself. Now, anyone can simply print out all their digital pictures right after they are taken, without sacrificing quality.

Try experimenting with the various options your photo editor has to offer to give select photos a unique and personal touch. Don't forget to save each edited photo in case you want to frame your creation at a later date. Correct any imperfections in your photo by using photo editing software. Adjust the quality with the editing features using sharpness, blur and despeckle. Make your image appear clearer and brighter with these features.

Put your creativity to use with the color adjustment feature. Sepia makes an interesting look for portraits. Try using sepia for pictures of flowers and landscape scenes also. This look is great for an eye-catching photo layout. Try framing them for an artistic look for your home dcor.

Black and white gives photos a sophisticated look, and works great for an old-fashioned family portrait. Try grouping several black and white photos together for an interesting family-themed scrapbook layout.

Cut, crop and resize your photos if you choose. Remember to make several copies of your photos before permanently mounting them to your scrapbook pages.

Try using the different fonts available on your computer and print out fancy lettering to title each scrapbook page; put captions under each of your photos. Add a little humor to each description. You will love reading them in the years to come.

With all the fantastic digital cameras on the market and the availability of photo editing software, there is no limit to making all your scrapbooking projects special.

An Act of Kindness

Today I went to the park to be in Nature. It had been a long hot day, and it felt wonderful to sit in the shade, just reading, and watching as birds and butterflies came near. The sun had just set, and some people were beginning to leave and go home. It was still a balmy evening, so others lingered.

As I prepared to depart, I too decided to linger. I felt a strong urge to go near the lake, to touch the water. Lately, Ive been making a conscious effort to listen to my feelings more. So I drove to where the lake was, which is also a more crowded area of the park.

I walked past the people and stood near the water, and touched it. The lake was so beautiful. I gazed upon it, then up at the sky. And just above the horizon was the silvery sliver of a new moon embraced by an azure sky. Gazing at Nature, past the crowds, I could not help but be in awe of her splendor. Nature never disappoints us, if we take the time to notice her. I was glad I took those few minutes to witness this daily miracle at dusk.

As I started walking back to my car, I couldnt help but see a mass of broken glass mixed in with the grassglimmers from the setting sun reflected it back to me. In its own way, it was beautiful. Yet I know that broken glass can be very dangerous.

I knelt and inspected the scene. The shards were from a newly broken bottle: both large and small chunks of sharpness that could easily inflict harm on an unaware passerby. Most of the shards were hidden in the grass and, with the dimming light, most people would not see them.

When I was a child, a friend of mine stepped on a piece of glass in a park, and she was seriously injured. She had been running barefoot and didnt see it. I still remember the huge gash in her foot, and pain she suffered. I still recall how her moment of joy so quickly turned into tragedy. So I always try to pick up glass in parks and on trails to prevent others from getting hurt. It is something that I do, just to give back, even during times when I feel I have little to give.

However, I also shy away from crowds, and it felt uncomfortable to linger any longer as darkness was descending. Yet here was my duty before me. I looked around and found a small piece of aluminum foil on the ground and I placed it in the palm of my hand, to serve as a shield. Then I knelt and started picking up the broken shards and placed them on the foil.

It was about that time that I noticed a woman with her dog, walking towards me, then altering their course just a bit to walk around me. If I had not been there--in that spot, at that time--they would have walked right through the glass and the dog would have been hurt. He was a beautiful dog, and seemed very good natured. I felt thankful that I was there to prevent that small tragedy.

I said not a word to anyone around me. I just dutifully picked up the glass, piece by piece, trying to get it all up before it was too dark to see. There was so much of it, that it required two trips to the waste basket.

At various intervals, I became aware of at least four people who took note of my actions: an older woman who was walking alone, a teenager listening to rap music with his friends, and a young couple. They took note that someone was taking the time to do a good deed, and I was happy to set this example. I knew this small act touched their lives in some way.

On the way back to my car, I noticed two large unbroken bottles and picked them up also. They, too, were accidents waiting to happen, if someone did not intervene.

Driving home, I felt more joy than I had for a long time.

Only a month ago, I was living with a sociopath in an abusive relationship. I was a broken woman, afraid to go out among people at all. If I had not found the courage to leave him, no one would have picked up that glass today. And someone could have been hurt.

Today I made a difference in a strangers life, or a dogs life, or a birds life. Perhaps in several lives. And I was only able to do so because I made the right choice, in my own life, a month earlier.

I felt grateful that I was able to do this small act of kindness for another. And I smiled.

Celebrities Provide The Third Answer: Fame With Power

The usual cynics choice is to ask, what would you rather have, fame without power or power without fame? Yet even a cursory look at contemporary society reveals that celebrities have managed to devise a third choice: fame with power.

There is no shortage of for instances. Take Ronald Regan, who went from fame in Hollywood to power in Washington. Or Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has so far gone from fame in Hollywood to power in Sacramento, with his eyes on DC, if his advocates can only get the constitution amended so that a born Austrian can run like a born American. Given the proportion of immigrants who now inhabit the land, the likelihood of Presidential power for the Terminator is hardly out of the question.

Of course, there are also lesser and more numerous instances of the celebritys ability to combine fame with power. How about Mel Gibson, arrested for DWI and a month later we noticed that the arresting officer was being investigated?

Or Barbra Streisand telling a fan to shut up with a word that is not usually accepted in public discourse and then blithely continuing her tour. What if a relatively powerless person like a Senator, say, John Kerry had said the F word, as in getting stuck in f-ing Iraq? The man would have been sent beyond temporary oblivion and been made to resign from the Senate.

Finally, we have Paul McCartney, who, though embroiled in a divorce where his bride is accusing him of abuse, was able to attend the premier of a new classical piece he managed to compose at The Albert Hall.

The time has obviously come when cynics should adjust their choices.

It seems that the only people who are in a real pickle are the ones in the unnamed group those without fame or power. Well, that seems to include most of us. But what would all the celebrities do without us to play to? No audience, no performance.

So we come full circle, not as cynics but as optimists. Sure, there are the secretive few who have power without fame. But most people, who seem on the surface to be distinguished by neither fame nor power, may actually possess the most power, at least, over that uniquely famous and powerful group we refer to as celebrities.

6 Butterfly Marketing Tips about Marketing Your Own Product on the Internet

In this article I will try help the newbie Internet Marketer by revealing 6 important tips to making a successful product and selling it successfully on the internet.

1. Find your Niche

You can't write a general product about things generally. It might seem obvious but most people go into making a product before actually doing some research on the market that they want to enter. You need to know if the product will sell and that involves looking at what your potential customer needs, how he feels and where he is hurting. This brings us to the next part;

2. Find out what your customer's main problems are

The trick is that people with problems are almost always too eager to find a solution fast. This makes the best spontaneous buyer that would almost be too happy to depart with his/her money if you provide just a promise that you will solve the problem for them with your product, of coz you must deliver what your promise!

3. Get experts to work for you

There is a huge market of programmers or designers on the internet that are more than happy to help you in the development of your product. You can use a site like Rentacoder, Guru, or Elance to find a talented programmer. Additionally, you can search forums for programmers. In many cases, you can get a high-quality program that fits your specifications for as little as $100.

4. Marketing your product

There are an enormous number of ways in which you can market your product both online and offline, however in this article I'll just look at marketing online since it is one of the cheapest ways and since your product is Internet based and will compliment the delivery of the product too. Generally, having your own website will be the best option. Make your website easy to understand with a good sales letter, offer good percentage cuts for your affiliates to market your product for you through Clickbank or Commission Junction.

5. Create Bonuses, viral in nature.

Most Internet based products should have some bonuses that come with the product when the client purchases it. There are two purposes to these bonuses, firstly it's to make the buyer happy that he got a bargain with so many extras with the product. Secondly, these bonuses are very good viral marketing tools too. You can either release the publication for open distribution with many links back to your website or you can also get the buyer to re-sale your product in the Multi-Level-Marketing manner.

6. Brand and market yourself

Some people like staying anonymous on the internet but to really succeed in selling your product, you must also sell yourself to be the expert in the product's field. It may seem better to just make a persona to market certain products but to be blatantly straight, personas never come across as genuine and thus will have a negative impact on the product your are selling.

So, now armed with these tips, go out and make an effort to develop and sell your product, the internet is ripe for the picking!

Supermarkets And Internet Coupons

Supermarkets nowadays are facing fierce competition from each other. They basically offer almost the same line of goods. They basically offer almost the same line of goods at the same price also! So how do they stand out from the rest? They may be able to stand out by offering better service. The internet coupons are a great way to enhance the services provided by your regular supermarket store.

There are several ways by which a supermarket can stand out from the rest when they offer internet coupons. One way of standing out is by offering discount coupons related to products. Supermarkets can make deals with the product providers in their store. For instance, if the supermarket is carrying orange juice X, then they can talk to the manufacturer of orange juice X for a special deal. They can propose to orange juice X manufacturer that an internet coupon giving a discount on their product at their supermarket will be a great idea. The supermarket can give up a certain portion of their profit on orange juice X so long as orange juice X promotes online discount coupons for their supermarket. The supermarket will be able to attract more buyers to their store and orange juice X will sell more of its products.

Another way where a supermarket can stand out from their competitors through internet coupons is when they offer bulk related internet coupons. Bulk related internet coupons say something like this, buy three chickens from us and then we will give you another chicken for free! These bulk related internet coupons will definitely attract more customers. All you have to do is to price your products properly and find out how many products a customer has to buy in order to cover for the free product. In this way, even if you give away a certain amount of your profit, you will be able to attract more customers to your supermarket. When someone goes to the supermarket, rarely will he or she buy only one product. That person will definitely buy more products when they are already there. When you have your computations done, all you have to do is to put those internet coupons on the World Wide Web and watch those sales figures soar.

Supermarkets should take advantage of the power of internet coupons. Not only will they stand out from the competition, they will also make customers very happy as well
